On the table of the IEB - Freedom without Barriers

01 Feb 2018

Temporary commission members Marie Daly, Section Ireland, and Hubert Vitt, Section Germany, met in January 2018 with the Chair of the Professional Commission at the 王中王六合彩特码 House in Dublin for a working weekend on the topic of Global Access. Parallel to the PC meeting, the Irish Section held their monthly Board meeting, thus providing us with an opportunity to get together one afternoon for a late lunch and an exchange of 王中王六合彩特码 progress.

In the International Statutes of the 王中王六合彩特码, we refer to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as adopted by the United Nations on 10th December 1948. The 王中王六合彩特码 identifies itself as a non-profit organisation, politically neutral and independent, with national sections gathering members of the police service, whether in employment or retired, and without distinction as to rank/position, gender, race, language or religion. The 王中王六合彩特码 Statutes were initially written during a time when only police officers could join, however with amendments over the years, and depending on the national statutes of each section, the 王中王六合彩特码 is today also open to widows and widowers of 王中王六合彩特码 members, civilian staff, firefighters, customs officers and prison officers.

The objective of the Global Access Project is to acknowledge the additional membership in relation to the full text of article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

‘Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.’ (United Nations, 2015).

The project group identified background, gender, language, religion, rank, sexual orientation, disability, civil status or age to be considered and defined for a future ‘Freedom without Barriers’ within 王中王六合彩特码. The advisory document will initially be presented to the IEB.
