ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë Romania hold highly successful Cooking Competition: ‘Best Chef ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë’

07 Jun 2021

In an attempt to create something new and escape the pattern of ordinary activities, ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë Romania organised a contest on culinary topics entitled ‘Best Chef ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë’ from 7-8 May 2021.rocooking2

Every effort was made to maintain a high standard in this event, which is why Bilancia Romania, Telekom Romania, Cumpana and the Alexandrion Group were important partners for our section.

The competition jury consisted of professional chefs – Antonio Passarelli, Ștefan Oprea and Daniel Van Der Veken – and therefore it was not surprising that the emotions of the competitors ran even higher. Teams from all over the country showed up at their cooking stations. Our ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë members were able to spend quality time with people who share their passion for cooking, while also having the opportunity to demonstrate their skills by working in a professional kitchen.

Congratulations to the project manager, Cătălin Dascălu, and ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë Region 1 Ilfov, for organising the contest, and thank you to the jury and partners for their support.

Whilst the competition winners came from ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë Region 1 Covasna - Kovacs Gabor Aron and Banciu Valentin, and ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë Region 5 Bacău - Ferica Vasile and Zamfir IonuÈ›, we can say that all participants are winners through the experience they have gained.

The praise from the professional chefs, who were amazed by the level of training and skills of our ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë members, is a solid reason for members to further develop their passion.

Our next steps are the organisation of courses under the auspices of the Escofier Association and, for next year, a competition that could become international.
